Mechanical Performance of Curved Link-Slab of Simply Supported Bridge Beam

This paper proposes a curved link-slab (CLS) structure, simplified into hingeless arch model, to address the current cracking phenomenon of CLS concrete. The stress formula under various loads is derived based on classical mechanic’s method. Based an actual bridge example, mechanical properties are analyzed different and load combinations. results show that: (1) significantly lower than that flat structure (FLS), (2) its values less concrete tensile limit, (3) can effectively solve link-slab. rationality from model verified using finite element method (FEM). parametric sensitivity analysis shows variation reinforcement ratio has limited impact it. Considering both compressive thickness should be 15 cm 20 cm, design span about 5% 7.5% main beam length.
